Pond is recruiting a self-motivated individual to serve as our Senior Project Manager in our Jacksonville, Florida office. Our Transportation team currently provides multidisciplined design and design-related services to State and Municipal clients. This is a leadership position within our firm that will manage both Operations and Business Development for our roadway practice in Florida. This position will also work as an integral part of our entire Transportation team to achieve overall goals. The appropriately qualified candidate will be able to demonstrate previous success in the pursuit and delivery of transportation projects, proven leadership skills and a strong work ethic. This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of our growing Transportation practice and to have a direct impact on our growth goals in the transportation industry.Marketing/Project Pursuits * Actively lead pursuits in concert with the overall Transportation team, Pond Leadership and our Marketing team * Have Go/No-Go authority on pursuits for Operations in conjunction with our Marketing team * Assess strategic hires for better positioning in pursuit phase * Actively engage DOT and other clients to assess, develop, and align service offering to be a leader for transportation design servicesOperational Responsibilities * Responsible for day to day operations and overall resource management and financial metrics for the FL Transportation Practice * Responsible to work with Project Managers and Design Team for day to day decisions on resource allocation, staffing, and project budgets * Responsible for assessment of resources and effectiveness to meet current and future needs * Review and approve of new hires * Responsible for training, mentoring, and professional development of direct reportsTechnical Responsibilities * Function as Sr. Design Manager and/or Sr. Project Manager as needed to win opportunities, achieve technical results and desired client outcomes * Oversee and actively manage the roadway practice Quality Assurance Program * Assist the Transportation practice in branding Pond as an industry recognized technical expertQualifications * B.S. in Civil Engineering or Transportation Engineering * 15 - 20 years of transportation/roadway and drainage design experience is preferred. * Professional Engineer, P.E. certification is required * Knowledge of the practical application of engineering principles, practices and techniques. * Ability to demonstrate strong organizational, project, and time management skills. * Ability to build and maintain excellent interpersonal relationships.About PondPond is an award-winning, full-service architecture, engineering, planning, construction management, and environmental services firm providing professional solutions to clients throughout the U.S. and globally for nearly 60 years. Starting base pay may vary depending on these factors. We anticipate filling this position as a Senior Project Manager with a salary range of $111,500.00 - $180,000.00 .Additional cash incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a range of medical, financial and/or other benefits dependent on position offered.
