Mechanical Engineer/Designer

Description:
Job Description: Mechanical Engineer/Designer? Develop 2D and 3D Designs for Standard and Custom Specific Products.? Understand project requirements and develop high quality designs accordingly.? Ability to produce Engineering quality drawings in CAD: Project Submittals and Standard drawings, Part drawings; 2D Project Submittals and 3D assembly development.? Using Problem solving and Critical thinking for Accurate and efficient Design development.? Collaborate with Engineering team and other Departments on Custom projects.? Develop product information packages: Drawings; Bills of Material; assembly documentation; installation sheets and generate specification data sheet.? Complete value engineering assignments for Lean Mfg. as required? Other duties as deemed appropriate by the Company and management.Skills/Requirements:? B.S. Engineering Degree preferred, Associate or Technical Degree will be considered with applicable working experience.? LED and Lighting Experience is a Plus.? 5-10 Years? experience in a manufacturing environment or Lighting Mfg. preferred.? Advance Computer skills with CAD Required, Autocad 2D required and Inventor 3D preferred, or other 3D programs, Microsoft office, Excel, PDF Editors... etc.? Ability to read Architectural Plan drawings and provide Take-offs as required.? Understanding of Sheet metal Design, Extrusions, Diecasts and other materials.? Photometry and AGI are a Plus+? Teamwork, communication and organization skills, Excellent drive & desire to learn. Technical ability, comfortable using basic tools.? The ability to work independently and as part of a team.? The ability to manage multiple projects and maintain deadlines. We have various CNC machines you can design from such as milling, lathe, laser, punch, break, saw, welding and more in our 75,000 square foot factory.We have an immediate opening for a Mechanical Engineer/Designer with experience in designing LED Luminaires.Our engineering team works with sales, marketing and production to research, develop and design new Luminaires as well as modify our current product line.
