We are currently seeking an Employee Relations Manager to join our team and help make a lasting impression on the lives of the children and families we serve. SCHEDULE Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm LOCATION Hybrid - 1 day remote / 4 days in office located in Miami, FL WHAT WE OFFER Competitive hourly wage 401(k) matching Dental insurance, Health and vision insurance, Life insurance Paid time off (PTO) Referral bonus program Employee Assistance Program Promotion, advancement, and transfer opportunities MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in psychology, business, human resources or related field. Minimum 5 to 7 years of relevant employee relations management experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. High degree of emotional intelligence. Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems. Thorough understanding of state and federal laws concerning employment and employee relations. Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies. Thorough understanding of dispute resolution and compensation administration. Ability to remain tactful, calm, and persuasive in controversial and/or confrontational situations. RESPONSIBILITIES Uses surveys, interviews, and other studies to conduct research regarding human resource policies, compensation, and other employment issues. After analyzing the information, makes recommendations on changes. Researches and explains laws and legal affairs concerning employment to managers, supervisors, and employees. Advises and trains managers and supervisors in best employee relations practices and strategies for managing supervisor problems and employee grievances. Develops further training as needed. Collaborates with leadership on matters of policy. Assists management with performance concerns, disciplinary action and conflict management issues. Maintains an attitude and philosophy consistent with the company's standards. Supervises and directs the development of in-service employee training and recruitment Ensures compliance with human resource policies and procedures. Plays lead role in ensuring that performance evaluations are conducted in a timely and constructive fashion. Leads and facilitates the employee relations program and related functions. Maintains, develops, recommends, and implements program objectives, policies, and procedures. Develops and pursues new goals and objectives for improvement in areas of employee relations. Communicates with employees regarding employee relations concerns; provides guidance and recommendations for resolution of issues. Counsels employees on concerns related to applicable Equal Employment Opportunity laws including Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and other similar federal and state laws. Performs other related duties as assigned.
