Practice Area: Insurance Defense - General, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 3 Years, A law firm based in Hammond, IN, is seeking an Associate Attorney with 3+ years of relevant litigation experience. The ideal candidate will have defense litigation experience in insurance coverage and possess strong organizational, communication, and litigation skills. Duties:Work in various practice areas, including construction, bodily injury, professional malpractice, and mass torts.Independently manage a litigation caseload, handling cases from inception to resolution.Attend court hearings in multiple counties and courthouses.Monitor case files to ensure deadlines are met and investigate legal matters.Conduct legal research, and analyze statutes, regulations, and court decisions.Assist with document review and preparation.Maintain good standing with the Indiana Bar; Illinois license preferred.Manage own caseload, handling all aspects of litigation.Provide writing samples and possess strong research and analytical abilities.Conduct depositions and possess strong litigation skills. Requirements:Demonstrate strong organization and communication skills.Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the Indiana Bar; Illinois license preferred.3+ years of relevant litigation experience.Defense litigation experience in insurance coverage is preferred.Strong organizational and communication skills.Excellent research and analytical abilities.Deposition experience is required.Strong litigation skills.
