Position Title : Development & Marketing Manager Position Location : Remote Position Type: Full-time Classification: Exempt Reports To: Director of Development; dotted line to Associate Director, Marketing and Communications Original PD Date : May 2024 Position Summary: The Development & Marketing Manager plays a key role in the success of AFHK and RMC Health by managing the execution of key strategic aspects of the recently merged organizations' annual development plan. This role leverages analytics, creativity, and marketing strategies to drive inbound leads, build individual giving campaigns, and grow revenue from grants and fee-for-service (or earned revenue) opportunities. The Development & Marketing Manager will serve as an ambassador of the organization and be the primary point of contact for portfolio of external clients and partners, maintaining current relationships and building new strategic professional relationships to secure additional revenue. The Development & Marketing Manager will collaborate closely with all members of the Growth Team (marketing, communications, and development) to develop and execute strategic and annual plans and work frequently across the organization with programs, operations, and executive teams. This position will support the development of new fee-for-service growth opportunities and strategic partnerships, with a goal of growing and diversifying revenue in support of our mission. Essential Functions: Marketing (45%) Develop and execute unique content and innovative strategies to tell the AFHK story, drive inbound leads for traditional development (corporate, foundation, individual) and business development/fee-for-service (state agencies, partner school districts, other nonprofit and community organizations), and amplify our mission, impact, and visibility. Ideate, plan , and execute annual marketing and fundraising campaigns, including strategy, theme, promotion, and communication with donors and other stakeholders. Facilitate donor communication and engagement, including prospective, current, and past donor Lead the development and creation of the annual impact report, including cross-departmental collaboration on content, delivery, and graphic design. Support development and marketing of additional fee-for-service and product sales offerings and strategies in collaboration with Growth Team and other relevant staff. Development (45%) Work with the Growth Team (development, marketing , and communications) to ideate, develop, and execute annual plan to support strategic initiatives and programs by building strong partnerships with partners and clients to increase revenue. Research, qualify, cultivate, and close a pipeline of clients and partners for AFHK and RMC Health programs and product sales. Serve as the relationship manager for a small portfolio of clients and funders, stewarding and maintaining relationships and identifying opportunities for renewal and growth. Work cross-functionally to ideate, create, and submit high-quality, innovative concepts and proposals to grow support for AFHK and RMC Health current and future efforts. Collaborate with other Growth Department staff to achieve department goals, including ways to increase and diversify revenue streams for national work. Other ( 10%) Manage and lead contractors to support Growth Department priorities, as Represent AFHK and RMC Health in local, state, national conferences and/or committees, and other public forums and events. Education and Experience Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or related field with a minimum of four (4) years of relevant nonprofit, development, marketing, partnerships, or social impact work experience; or minimum six (6) years of relevant Exemplary writing expertise. Strong organizational and project management Demonstrated experience in conceptualizing and closing external Expertise in digital marketing specific to volunteer and/or donor recruitment Writing and storytelling experience with an eye for style, readability, and copy editing Experience working with federal, state, and/or local/school district-level health and/or education contacts on grants, contracts, or programs is a plus. Collaborative team player who enjoys working with a team of Superior presentation and people Proficiency in using technology for fund development, including videoconferencing, CRM (specifically Salesforce), project management tools (e.g., Asana), and Microsoft Office. Compensation The wage range for this role considers the wide range of factors considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the hiring range is $58,000 to $70,000. Expected hours of work - Hours of work are generally normal business hours, Monday through Friday. However, adjustments may be necessary based on the needs of clients, schools, community organizations, and colleagues working across time zones. Travel - minimal travel may be expected to attend conferences and meetings as needed. Physical demands -The work is sedentary and usually accomplished while the candidate is comfortably seated at a desk or table; extended periods are required. Items carried typically are light objects such as briefcases, notebooks, and data processing reports. Extensive use of computer equipment; requires frequent telephone or virtual meeting activity.
