Aboutthe Role : TheMaintenance Technician is responsible for keeping a facility operating andrepairing any problems when they are discovered before they have a chance toworsen. A Maintenance Technician will usually be required to perform a widerange of repair tasks around a facility. Some other tasks a MaintenanceTechnician may be called upon to do include. What YouWill Do : Coreduties and responsibilities include the following. Experiencewith service and operation of industrial mobile equipment such as forklifts,man lifts, and skid steer loaders. Experiencewith troubleshooting various machine systems (Electrical, Hydraulic,Mechanical). PerformPreventative maintenance activities and other routine maintenance and repairsaround facility grounds. Identifyand repair potential safety hazards. Activelyparticipate and support operations functions as necessary, including but notlimited to internal equipment inspections, fire watch, cleaning of workarea(s), etc. Performsother related duties as assigned by supervisor or management. Primary Responsibilities : Ability to read, write, and apply common senseunderstanding to conduct instructions furnished in written and oral form. Ability to use basic math operations tocomplete daily tasks. Ability to deal with high-stress situations. Ability to communicate well with others. Ability to read and interpret electrical,hydraulic, and general assembly schematics. Ability to don all necessary PPE and safelywork at heights, and other precarious places. Ability to communicate effectively via radiousing two-way radio. OurPerfect Candidate Education and Experience: Highschool Diploma or equivalent. Minimum5 years of industrial maintenance experience. IndustrialTechnology/Industrial Maintenance/Electrical Technology Certifications preferred . WorkingShifts: Looking to FILL the followingSHIFTS. Tuesdaythru Saturday from 5:15am to 1:30pm Sundaythru Thursday from 1:30pm to 10:00pm Tuesdaythru Saturday from 1:30pm to 10:00pm Sundaythru Thursday from 5:15am to 1:30pm ElectricalRequirements : Experienceworking with low to medium voltages ranging from 12 to 24 VDC and 120 to 480VAC. Experiencetroubleshooting and replacing 3-phase AC motors. Basicunderstanding and troubleshooting of motor controls including motor starters,relays, push button stations, and thermal overload relays. Basicunderstanding of PLC operations, serial communications, ethernetcommunications, field instrumentation, and I/O functions. Ability to do common electrical distribution worksuch as installing conduit, flex conduit, rigid piping, seal tight conduit, anddisconnect switches. Experience with A/C drives (VFD, Reduced voltagestarters) would be a plus. MechanicalRequirements : Installation andrepair of a variety of power transmission devices including bearings, directdrive gear reducers, chain drives, sprockets, and belt drives. Experience withrepair, maintenance, and installation of material handling equipment such aschain conveyors, belt conveyors and augers. Installation ofelectric motors and various motor couplings. Assembly/repair oflarge industrial equipment, including medium bore bearings. Knowledge of basicrigging/lifting techniques. Hydraulics : Installation,maintenance and troubleshooting of a variety of hydraulic pumps, motors,accumulators, piping, and heat exchangers. Fabrication : Ability to measureand cut using oxy-acetylene torches or plasma torches. Ability to weld using, SMAW or GMAW (Stickor MIG). Safety: Clear anddemonstrable understanding of Lock out/Tag out procedures and energy isolation. Clear anddemonstrable understanding of Arc Flash Safety and general NFPA 70E safetyguidelines. Understanding of andexperience with various fall protection equipment and industry standardpractices. Familiar with theuse of Hot Work Permits, as well as fire prevention equipment (fireextinguishers, welding blankets, and welding curtains). Ability to clearlyunderstand and operate within the company's Health and Safety Program. Conduct housekeepingand clean-up functions. Work assignedshifts, overtime as needed, day shift, mid shift, night shift, weekends, andholidays. Performadditional duties as required, assigned, or instructed. RequiredEnvironment and Physical Abilities : Must be able to workin an environment that could have elevated noise levels. Must be able to workin an environment with nuisance dust. Must be able to workin an environment with presence of industrial and vehicle operations. PhysicalRequirements : Must be physicallyable to perform work assigned. Access all areaswithin a site which could include heights of 30+ feet, confined spaces,climbing ladders or stairs, and common use of man lifts wearing a safetyharness. Work will be in anindoor manufacturing facility or periodically at a customer mineralprocessing/mining site. The employee will beexposed to the following working conditions: Heat, noise, vibration, oils,greases, solvents, and atmospheric conditions such as dust. The employee will berequired to perform the following actions (from time to time): Standing,walking, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, talking, seeing, hearing, andsitting. Ascend and descendstairs and stationary vertical ladders as part of normal work activity andemergency egress situations. Able to carry/lift/move/pushup to 50 lbs. Close vision,distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, corrected or otherwise. CompanyOffers: Hourly range is $30 to $35, commensurate withexperience and education.
