Join our team at National Association of Electrical Distributors, a leading organization dedicated to fostering professional development and networking opportunities within the industry. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Workforce Development Project Manager to join our team. The primary role of this position is to serve the electrical distribution industry by planning and implementing industry initiatives, events, and partnerships related to workforce development. This includes specific efforts under the I Belong Here (IBH) and Leadership Development Program (LDP) initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring and apply best practices, program management skills, and deep expertise in managing large, multi-year, complex workforce planning initiatives and transformative programs. Specific Responsibilities: Participate and lead the development of workforce development practices, programs, and initiatives for and on behalf of NAED members. Work with and facilitate coordination with other NAED leaders and staff to ensure cohesive and interconnected tools, process, and programs for NAED members. For example, work with education delivery team for incorporation of workforce development and content delivery. Work with member engagement team to communicate workforce development offerings to NAED members. Work with government relations team to align workforce development advocacy with NAED Workforce Development strategies, goals, and plans. Oversee and guide the IBH committee ensuring alignment to their charter, DEI strategic plan, and business goals to maximize their effectiveness and reach within the industry. Project manage IBH and LDP initiatives and events serving as the primary point of contact for operational, logistical, and administrative activities for seamless execution from planning through to delivery. Collaborate with internal stakeholder teams to support member communications, amplify events, and increase IBH and LDP visibility and recognition. Manage IBH and LDP initiatives to enable smooth execution, drive continuous improvement, and efficiency which may include the identification or creation of resources, toolkits, and guides to support member companies ERG efforts. This individual will be an influencer, a thought leader, and an agent of change. Be a reliable point of contact, taking charge of tasks and responsibilities to support the successful implementation of DEI and LDP initiatives. Identify and manage opportunities for alliances with various organizations, both within and outside the construction industry, to strengthen the DEI and LDP pipelines. Partner with other members of the member engagement team to secure corporate partner support for key initiatives. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (B. A./B. S.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent training, education, and/or experience 5-7 years of Project Management or transferable experience that demonstrates comparable strong organizing skills. Knowledge of DEI and leadership development best practices and a commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the electrical distribution industry. Exceptional networking and relationship-building skills, ability to lead through influence. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to facilitate collaboration between various stakeholders. High-quality work that demonstrates competency from planning through delivery evidenced by measurable results. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation and facilitation skills. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well across functions and levels of an organization. Excellent judgment, discretion and sensitivity when collaborating with people and information. Demonstrated team focused mindset (Has an absolutely positive, get-it-done attitude). Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications and ability to learn membership database. Must be an initiative-taker who is able to translate strategic direction into their own tactical action plan. Then successfully execute their plan to meet and exceed engagement growth objectives. Ability to quickly learn the electrical distribution industry and channel to interface with excellent member service mentality, comfortable working with all levels of an organization and tailoring approach accordingly. Exceptional listener who cultivates relationships and is adaptable to varied styles. Must have integrity and credibility with leaders, members, and staff to build their trust. Prior experience in wholesale distribution, supply chain, tradeshow, and expos beneficial. Electrical industry experience is a plus (distributor, contractor, supplier, or rep agency) Ability to travel up to 20% throughout year as needed.Hybrid position St. Louis, Missouri.
