The role involves representing clients in workers' compensation claims, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and preparing for hearings and trials before the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board.Duties:Reviewing and analyzing workers' compensation claimsConducting extensive legal research and drafting various legal documents, including client correspondence, discovery devices, summations, appeals, and appellate briefsRepresenting clients at depositions and hearings before the New York State Workers’ Compensation BoardPreparing for trials, including trial attendance and trial preparationRetaining and evaluating expert witnesses as necessaryRequirements:Minimum 1 year of experience as a practicing attorney, preferably in workers' compensation lawJuris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-approved law schoolAdmitted to practice law in the state of New York; admission in other states is a plusSuperior analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong research abilities and excellent written and oral communication skillsProven ability to work independently and in a team environmentAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectivelyExcellent client management skills and a professional telephone mannerPrompt responsiveness to email and phone inquiriesCertifications (if any):Certification in Workers' Compensation Law (optional, if applicable)Skills:Legal drafting and research skillsTrial preparation and litigation experienceProficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research databasesStrong work ethic and proactive attitude towards work assignmentsJob Location: White Plains, NYBenefits:Innovative financial incentive bonus program rewarding entrepreneurial initiativeProactive support and training for marketing objectivesExcellent benefits package, including 401k matchExceptional growth and advancement opportunities within the firm
