WET END SINGLEFACER OPERATOR - MADERA, CA $2,500 Sign On Bonus Georgia-Pacific is looking for a motivated Wet End Singlefacer Operator with a passion for safety to join our team in Madera, CA! To learn more about the GP Corrugated Business, check out these videos/links: Georgia-Pacific: How Corrugated Boxes are Made www.gppackaging.com What You Will Do In Your Role * Adhere to all plant guidelines, policies, and procedures in safety and environmental health * Operate the singlefacer, doublebacker, roll stands, and splicers efficiently with minimal unplanned downtime * Train all personnel on the Wet End of the Corrugator * Ensure appropriate paper is hung and ran accordingly to minimize overruns and waste * Understand and achieve goals for wet end waste, lineal footage, and uptime * Understand how to read KIWI line ups, order changes, and communicate any feedback changes to knife operator or any concerns with certain runs * Lead the wet end crew to make the appropriate adjustments and coordinate them to run the machine efficiently * Lead flute changes on the wet end and manage the runs to reduce any flute change downtime * Champion the clean-up of singlefacers, corrugating rolls, and doublebacker with wet end crew * Operate and/or work around mobile equipment * Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment * Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day, in a loud/noisy, and industrial, high-volume environment Who You Are (Basic Qualifications): * At least (2) years or more of experience operating a singlefacer What Will Put You Ahead * Experience working with a BHS corrugator For this role, we anticipate paying $27.81 - $30.03 per hour.
