Job Description Position Title: Warehouse Supervisor Reports To: Warehouse Manager Direct Reports: Approximately 30 Education: 4-year degree not required -- Job Summary: The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficiency and productivity in all aspects of warehouse management. This includes supervising a team of approximately 30 direct reports, coordinating with other departments, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. -- Key Responsibilities: Team Supervision: Lead, motivate, and manage a team of approximately 30 warehouse employees. Assign tasks and monitor the performance of direct reports. Provide training and development opportunities to team members. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback. Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Implement and monitor operational processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to develop and execute strategies for improving warehouse operations. Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure timely updates to the inventory management system. Conduct regular inventory audits and resolve discrepancies. Ensure proper handling and storage of all products to prevent damage and loss. Safety and Compliance: Enforce safety policies and procedures to create a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards or violations promptly. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Communication and Coordination: Serve as a point of contact between warehouse staff and other departments. Coordinate with the Warehouse Manager and other supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and resolve any issues. Prepare and submit regular reports on warehouse operations, performance, and inventory levels. Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Proven experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse or logistics environment. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with warehouse management software and inventory control systems. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
