About the job: The Overnight Veterinary Technician position will assist the hospital in delivering excellent care to all of our patients within the hospital. Perform Veterinary Technician duties pursuant to Veterinary Emergency Care @Wash Park Technician Protocols. Embodies the culture in treating every client with the utmost courteous and attentive treatment possible, with a keen sensitivity to the emotional bond between owners and their pets. How you'll make a difference: Monitor and appropriately document patient vital signs and activity Provide all technical support to primary emergency veterinarian Provide comfort, diagnostic, surgical and nursing care to all patients including critical care patients Perform basic, emergent, and critical care anesthetic monitoring Obtain and prepare samples for diagnostic testing including but not limited to blood draws, arterial blood gas sampling, cystocentesis, urinary catheter sampling and free catch urine Perform various laboratory procedures including but not limited to blood typing, cross matching, and slide agglutination testing Accurately take and process abdominal, thoracic, appendicular, spinal, and skull radiograph while following appropriate radiation safety protocols Properly use and maintain medical equipment Provide professional client communication What you will bring: Experience working as a Credentialed Veterinary Technician for 2+ years, or open to consider technicians with any experience in ER/ICU setting A strong desire to learn and apply knowledge/skills learned to daily work life Ability to communicate effectively both written and oral Ability to demonstrate technical procedures as outlined in the technician protocols Demonstrate reliability and follow-through with all work-related tasks / projects Schedule: Full-Time position, 4x10 overnight schedule working 11pm – 9am Salary: $28 - $36 / hour based on experience Benefits: Discount on veterinary care for your furry family Employee referral bonus program Mental health support with Talkspace Uniform allowance Learning and growth opportunities Continuing education support for licensed team members 401k retirement plan options w/ company match Medical, vision, and dental insurance options - some plans may be paid by employer up to 100% Basic life insurance provided at no cost and other voluntary insurance options available for full-time team members Paid time off and holiday pay for full-time team members Location: 300 East Alameda Ave., Denver, CO 80209 Apply today to learn how Veterinary Emergency Care @Wash Park can be your next career home! #VETTECH Veritas Veterinary Partners is an equal opportunity employer.
