Job Title: Logistics Support Supervisor Job Location: Hillsboro, Oregon DHL Global Forwarding (DGF) manages the flow of goods and information across a customer's global supply chain utilizing air/ocean/ground transportation, customs brokerage services, and dedicated warehousing/distribution centers. Visit our career site on the web at https://www.logistics.dhl/us-en/home/careers.html We have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Support Supervisor to support multiple levels of customer interaction and serve as a location point of contact to one of our largest strategic DGF customers with a complex supply chain. This position will be based at the customer location. This position is a hybrid, located in Hillsboro, OR Key Responsibilities: * Coach, supervise, train, lead, and mentor onsite team members * Lead weekly staff meetings, review issue log, encourage ideas & recommendations from the team on better ways to perform the job, review SOP and any customer updates / changes * Manage and oversee daily reports, ensure shipping and delivery schedules are met according to customer requirements with multiple carriers * Drive tactical and operational performance, root cause analysis, proactive strategic and tactical freight forwarder’s supply chain development for all products (Air, Ocean, Domestic, and Brokerage) and handle all customer escalations * Provide recommendations for process improvements * Ensures compliance of customer’s business requirements with preferred carriers is maintained * Develop and partner with the customer and key individuals within the logistics organization * Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis * Drive collaboration with various freight forwarding business units and external partners to craft solutions to meet customers changing needs and expectations Skills / Requirements: * Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a Freight Forwarding/International Supply Chain industry * Proven track record in leading, coaching, and managing a team to success (employee engagement, motivation & very strong interpersonal skills) * Proven track record of effective analytical, organizational, and time management skills * Ability to proactively identify value opportunities, take initiative, and act collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders * Extremely strong customer service / collaboration skills and experience * Excellent communication and presentation skills; oral and written * Very strong capability to sell concepts, ideas and continuous process improvement opportunities to internal and external stakeholders * Self-directed and assertive; ability to prioritize team workloads and manage concurrent projects, meet or exceed customer requirements & deadlines * SAP and AES experience a plus * Preferred Bachelor’s degree or, combination of experience and education combined Benefits: (All non-union employees) * Total Compensation Package: We offer a competitive base salary. * 401(k) with a match: Pre-tax 401(k) contribution plan comes with a $1 for $1 match up to 4% quarterly, plus a 2% base contribution annually to help you save for retirement. * Stock Purchase Plan: Eligible employees can purchase Deutsche Post AG shares at a 15% discount and benefit from the Group’s success as shareholders. * Medical: We offer comprehensive healthcare plans covering preventative care, inpatient and outpatient services, and prescription drugs. * Vision: Optional coverage for eye exams, frames, and contact lenses. * Dental: Optional coverage for preventative, major, and basic dental services. * Holiday / Paid Time Off: The company provides paid time off for 7 major holidays each calendar year (New Year's Day, MLK Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day), plus 8 floating holidays, and accrued vacation days.
