Job DescriptionInova Health System is seeking a Ultrasound Technologist for a job in Arlington, Virginia.Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Ultrasound Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: ASAP Duration: Ongoing Shift: flexible Employment Type: StaffThe Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist 2 provides direction and guidance to others regarding practice while serving as a resource, preceptor, and mentor. Demonstrates leadership skills in decision making and problem solving. Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others. Maintains quality assurance records as required.- Selects appropriate instruments and supplies based on patient presentation during procedures.- Appropriately delegates patient care activities to other healthcare team members and participates in making and revising staff assignments.- May perform additional duties as assigned. Requirements- Certification - Basic Life Support Upon Start; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Upon Start; Registered in one of the following: RCIS, RTR VI, RTR CV, RTR CI, unless a graduate of an accredited school of nursing- Licensure - Registered Nurse Upon Start If the team member doesn't possess one of the above registries, the team member must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse.- Experience - One year of experience in interventional Cardiac Cath Lab or Electrophysiology Lab performing Cardio Invasive Specialist duties or equivalent years of experience as a nurse working in a critical care hospital unit.- Education - Associate Degree Nursing Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and /or Graduate of an accredited, school of Cardiovascular Technology or Radiology Technology or equivalent education and experience.Inova Job ID #658149.
