MJ Celco, a family owned metal stamper and fabricator, located in Schiller Park is seeking someone who can set up and operate a Turret punch press. **Job Summary:**The Turret Punch Press Set Up & Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining turret punch press machines to produce precision parts and components according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of punch press operations, tooling, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.**Key Responsibilities:**- Set up and operate turret punch press machines to produce parts according to work orders and specifications.- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machine setup requirements.- Select and install appropriate tooling, dies, and punches for each job.- Adjust machine settings to ensure proper alignment, positioning, and operation.- Load and unload materials, ensuring proper placement and secure fastening.- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines to ensure optimal performance.- Monitor machine operation and make adjustments as necessary to ensure product quality.- Inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy, making necessary adjustments to meet specifications.- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and company standards.- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes and meet deadlines.- Document production activities, including setup times, run times, and any issues encountered.**Qualifications:**- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.- Minimum of 3 years of experience setting up and operating turret punch press machines or similar equipment.- Strong understanding of punch press operations, tooling, and maintenance.- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers).- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
