Position Overview: We are looking to employ a skilled and sympathetic Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), also known as a speech therapist, who will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with communication and swallowing disorders. Your primary goal will be to help people improve their speech and language skills, as well as their ability to swallow. You will be assisting patients who have disabilities or experienced traumatic events that left them with speech, voice, or swallowing impairments.AR-SLP-Van Buren Date: 09.11.24 | Job Number: 268639 Travel SLP in Van Buren, AR The duration in weeks is 13 The working schedule for this role is Mon- Fri, Days Guaranteed hours: 1 Weekends are as needed Holidays are as needed On-Call is not required EMR used to be shared upon interview Positions Available: 1 Key Responsibilities: Analytical skills for selecting the best diagnostic tools and analyzing results to identify an accurate diagnosis while developing an effective treatment plan and identify treatment options Evaluating levels of swallowing, speech and language difficulty Creating and carrying out individualized treatment plans addressing specific functional needs Teaching patients how to make sounds while improving their voices and maintaining fluency Helping individuals improve sentence structure and vocabulary used in written and oral language Working with adults and children in developing and strengthening muscles used to swallow Counseling individuals and families on ways to cope with swallowing and communication disorders Communication skills for communicating diagnoses, test results and available treatments in terms that clients and their families can understand Compassion when working with individuals frustrated by the difficulties they are experiencing Critical thinking skills for adjusting treatment plans as required and identifying alternative ways to help Attention to detail for maintaining notes on treatment and progress Listening skills for listening to concerns and symptoms of clients so they can decide the most appropriate course of treatment Qualifications: Active and unencumbered Speech Language Pathology License or Certification Recent Speech Language Pathologist experience in a rehab setting BLS certification Benefits: Weekly pay | Direct Deposit Flexible Spending Account (FSP) 401K Retirement Plan Voluntary Supplemental Benefits Guaranteed Hours Per Facility Standard Holiday Pay Mileage Reimbursement | Commuter Benefits License and Certification Reimbursement Continuing Education Reimbursement Reimbursement for Work Uniforms or Scrubs Stipends for Housing, Meals and Incidentals Comprehensive health, dental and vision benefits for you and your family Waterfall Technology Consulting Partners LLC (WTCP) is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes candidates from all backgrounds to apply.
