Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Telemetry PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 07/08/2024 Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunities Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - PCU - ONS 48's Shift : Nights, 7p-7a, 12x4, 48hrs per week Length : 13 weeksWeekend rotation: Travelers could be scheduled for up to 4 out of the 6 weekends, which include Friday, Saturday and Sunday Requirements : SD license 1 year of nursing experience Previous experience with our types of patients below, including IMC/stepdown and neuro Ability to read/interpret cardiac strips, wound care, line management, drain/tube management, drip titration of below medications Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing BLS ACLS NIHSS 1st time traveler must have EPIC experience Epic strongly preferred Other details: Will accept a first-time traveler if greater than 1 year of experience Travelers must live 100 miles away from any facility Patient Types: This is a mixed acuity unit meaning there will be Intermediate Care acuity as well as Tele and MedSurg, Pre/post-surgical patients, CVA, seizures, cellulitis, influenza, UTIs, pneumonia, COPD, CHF, renal failure with or without the need for hemodialysis, hepatic failure, gastrointestinal disorders and infections, soft tissue injury and minor fractures, and DVTs. Medication administration, titratable vasoactive drips, TPN/tube feeding, and blood product transfusions, Peripheral IV, Midline, PICC and central line access, chest tubes, nasogastric tubes, drains, and urinary and fecal collection devices, Wound care, telemetry monitored patients, Post neuro-intervention (preferred experience but education and resources are provided per unit if they have not had this patient type) Floating: Any Adult Inpatient Unit - Med Surg, Ortho/Neuro/Surgical, Heart and Vascular Unit, Oncology, Observation Could be floated within scope of practice and below Units:ONS Epic Travel Staffing: Day 1 health insurance coverage and comprehensive benefits options 401(k) matching program Weekly direct deposit Concierge state licensing program for RN and other healthcare modalities in multiple states, including CA Industry leading allowances and reimbursements Referral program with cash bonuses and additional perks Exclusive job openings - Only at Epic Epic Elite Program - Priority status at top facilities and exclusive loyalty bonuses Please note that all pay rates are estimates.
