Certification Details ACLS, BLS certifications required as specified NIH Stroke Certification preferred Requirements for certain certifications may vary depending on unit or facility updates Job Details Position/Specialty: ICU float Pool RN Will work 3x12hr nights 7p-730a 36 hours/week Weekend REQ: EOW Holiday rotation required *will not have a home unit* Will float ICU and PCU floors at the Main hospital and Ashley River tower (may rarely float to MS if needed, but would take a lighter patient load of 3-4 patients) Ratios: may vary depending on unit assigned (1:2 is average for ICU, 1:4 if on PCU) Open to accommodating block schedule? Requires managers approval upon request. Dependent on unit's needs. Guaranteed Hours: Facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. The peak months for hurricane activity are August and September. Job Requirements Years of experience REQ: 2+ year of experience First-timers accepted: No License REQ: South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN License Certs/Experience/Skills required: (MUSC only accepts American Heart Association (AHA)): ACLS, BLS, NIH-preferred Trauma Level REQ: N/A Local radius: 60 miles. Locals Accepted: Yes, on a case-by-case basis at 10% less than the posted bill rate RTO Restrictions: If a candidate is a clinical PASS, the account manager can auto offer a traveler that has 7 days or less of NON-HOLIDAY RTO. Any candidate that has 7+ days and/or includes holidays will have to be submitted to the facility for approval and can delay the process. SC RN License: Process involves 3-5 weeks and more for international education. Walk-through ETA is 24-48 business hours. No walk-through if started permanent licensure process, or if there have been any legal issues.
