Travel Nurse Source is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Pediatrics RN in Renton, Washington, 98055 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Pediatrics Job Duration: 16 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Active RN License required Certifications: BLS, PALS Must-Have: Pediatric experience Job Description: - Work in a pediatric unit with 16 beds, maintaining nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2-3. - Manage common diagnoses such as neonatal opioid withdrawal syndrome, hyperbilirubinemia, RSV, and care for NICU graduates. - Provide post-operative care for appendectomy/tonsillectomy patients and postpartum couplets. - Handle adult med/surg cases and provide behavioral health support as a sitter (1:1). - Care for VEEG/epileptic patients and understand the monitoring involved. - Perform duties without the requirement to titrate drips, as none are common. - Collaborate with charge nurses and house supervisors; nurse aides are not available on this unit. - Participate in a 3-12s per week schedule with the possibility of working every weekend and holidays. - Engage in floating to NICU for similar patient care when necessary. - Wear royal blue scrubs as part of the dress code. - Complete 1-2 shifts of unit-specific orientation. - Use the Epic Systems Corporation - Epic Care Inpatient - EMR for charting. - Work within a Level 3 trauma setting in an acute care division. - Read and watch the monitors for tele on this unit. 26271847 EXPTEMP Job Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS - AHA BLS - AHA Core Competency PALS - AHA Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam 5 Benefits of Travel Nursing Adapting to new environments, team dynamics, and patient populations fosters adaptability.
