Job Description : The Transition/Release Manager collaborates with stakeholders to develop comprehensive transition plans for new services and changes. This role coordinates the activities of cross-functional teams involved in the transition process and develops and implements release management processes and procedures to ensure controlled deployment of changes. The Transition/Release Manager manages the scheduling, deployment, and communication of releases to minimize user impact and identifies and assesses potential risks and issues related to service transitions and releases. They develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize disruptions and collaborate with Change Management to ensure changes are properly assessed, authorized, and communicated. This role involves coordinating with change advisory boards and stakeholders to manage change-related activities and overseeing testing and validation activities to ensure new services and changes meet quality standards and user expectations. The Transition/Release Manager ensures rollback plans are in place for unexpected issues and establishes effective communication channels to provide timely updates on transition and release progress. They prepare and distribute release notes and status reports to inform stakeholders of upcoming releases and changes and analyze the effectiveness of transition and release processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing enhancements to streamline and improve the transition and release lifecycle.
