TRAINEE QUANTITY SURVEYOR Who we are: - based in Hingham, A C Bacon Engineering Ltd are a leading Norfolk based manufacturer specialising in steel structures and steel frames for agricultural, commercial, and industrial buildings, from design through to manufacture, delivery, and installation. As part of our dedication and commitment to our customers we are also able to supply and install wall and roof cladding, roller shutter doors, personnel doors, metal decking, PCC planks and stairs, PCC grain walling and concrete pad foundations. A C Bacon Engineering Ltd has extensive in-house production facilities at its headquarters in Hingham, to provide the highest quality product and experience for its customers. A C Bacon Engineering Ltd are also proud holders of the Royal Warrant of Appointment as a tradesman to The Queen for the manufacture of steel-framed buildings. The role: we have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team. As a Trainee Quantity Surveyor, you will play a supportive role in the day-to-day running of the commercial department, ensuring that it runs smoothly with deadlines met under the direction of either the Quantity Surveyor or senior management team. You will have a keen eye for detail, be able to work as part of a team, be highly organised with excellent time management skills, have strong numerical acumen, and proficient oral and written abilities. The Responsibilities of the role: the main responsibilities of the role will include, but not necessarily be limited to: -Provide full support and assistance to the Quantity Survey and commercial department as required / requested. Work closely with all members of staff to ensure the smooth running of the department and business. Gather and prepare documentation for the Quantity Surveyor, in a timely fashion, as directed. Interpret drawings and documentation effectively. Produce precise ‘take-offs’ and schedules. Undertake basic Quantity. Visit ListedBuy for more information.
