Our Team We are actively seeking a talented Tester Development Engineering Lead to design and develop Automated Test Systems for our production lines, manufacturing variety of products from Cable Assemblies and Vehicle Antennas to Media Modules, Wireless Chargers, Sensors, and in Vehicle Radar systems; from conceptual design through their full implementation, documentation, and delivery. You will have the chance to network with cross functional teams, vendors, internal & external customers, and in-house personnel. We are looking for an individual who shares our passion for custom solution development of SW applications and integrating them with mechanical fixtures, utilizing off-the-shelf test equipment such as digital sampling oscilloscopes, TDR modules, VNA's, etc. As a part of the test system design and development practice, we analyze test data using dashboards and statistical modeling tools to perform root cause analysis of rejected parts. The candidate will have expertise in integration and deployment of automated test system used across multiple manufacturing regions around the world. The candidate will require expertise in cross functional teams' collaboration to understand customer requirements and test system specification for products built in high volume automated manufacturing environments. The candidate will be someone with experience who takes the ownership of engineering tasks and can functionally lead their team of engineers in working with leading automated machine developers; someone who works well in a team by ensuring that project tasks are all delivered on time, within the cost, and with high quality. What You Will Do * Develop, integrate, and deploy software for the control of complex test systems used across multiple manufacturing regions around the world. Must coordinate software development activities with various teams, including product development, manufacturing, marketing, quality, etc. * Perform electrical testing design and development of High-Speed Cable Assemblies, Vehicle Antennas, Wireless Chargers, Media Modules, Vehicle Sensors, and in-Cabin Radar systems; identify critical to quality aspects of product design and manufacturing process, perform root cause / corrective action analysis and write reports to summarize findings. * Lead multifunctional teams to design globally deployable automated production test systems for cable assembly products. Maintain records for project execution, schedule, and budget. System design includes activities such as mechanical fixture designing, PCB designing, hardware integration, software development, system documentation, performance testing and characterization, etc. * Create and execute test plans, conduct software reviews, perform system verification and validation, analyze and resolve failure modes and document results. * Create product and test system documentation, specifications, and work instructions. * Understand, support, and contribute to Molex TQM and Quality / Environmental Management Systems by following approved policies and procedures. * Other duties as required by management. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * Bachelor's degree in Electrical/System/Computer Engineering * 3+ years of progressive engineering experience with a strong understanding of product testing, design, and development. * 3+ years of experience in Python programming, ideally in the area of interfacing between single board computers and external devices, as well as, lab measuring equipment * Ability to apply computer programming concepts to solve complex problems in a variety of programming environments and/or platforms. What Will Put You Ahead * Familiarity with Labview and C# programming languages is a plus. * Familiarity with RF/microwave circuits, transmission line theory, and s-parameters measurements, Fourier transformers, characteristic impedance, eye diagrams, time-domain analysis, cross talk, bit error rate testing, jitter analysis, is a big plus in this role.
