POSITION SUMMARY: The Technology Engineer aligns technology solutions with business needs and ensures seamless implementation. Participates in "On Call" rotation to take after hour escalated calls, tickets and/or projects. This position is onsite daily and requires occasional travel to client/customer locations. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: Solution Architect: Design and architect technology solutions that align with client requirements and business objectives, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency. Technical Consultant: Provide expert guidance and consultancy on technology deployments and integrations, advising clients on best practices and optimizing solution performance. Implementation Specialist: Lead the implementation and deployment of technology solutions, ensuring successful execution within agreed timelines and budgetary constraints. Integration Maestro: Manage and oversee the integration of various technologies and platforms, ensuring seamless interoperability and data flow across systems. Customization Expert: Customize and configure technology solutions to meet specific client needs, leveraging deep technical expertise and understanding of solution capabilities. Project Management Champion: Drive project management activities, including planning, resource allocation, and risk management, to ensure smooth execution and delivery of projects. Client Relationship Steward: Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication, collaboration, and ongoing support, ensuring client satisfaction and retention. SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES: Solid background in network administration and architecture Proficiency in programming and configuring automated systems Familiarity with access control models and network security Knowledge of coding languages for scripting (e.g., Python, Perl) Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds network tools) Solid understanding of network operating systems (JUNOS, Cisco IOS) Ability to identify and address quality issues Experience in streamlining distribution processes Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools Embrace our company values and exhibit leadership qualities by setting a positive example ACCOUNTABLE METRICS: Welcome to the team, where accountability meets excellence! QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 5+ years relevant and progressive IT experience Obtain and maintain certifications as required (such as CCNP, CCDP) Must have valid drivers license with acceptable driving record PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: Ability to observe details on a computer monitor Constant operation of a computer and other office equipment such as copiers, mobile devices, etc. Communicate effectively over phone and through electronic messaging Extended periods of being stationary at desk Ergonomic Hazards- IT workers may face ergonomic issues due to prolonged computer use Chemical Hazards- IT environments may involve chemicals (e.g., cleaning products, fluids) Electrical Hazards- Exposure to live wires, faulty equipment, or electrical shocks can occur Physical Hazards- Tripping over cables, lifting heavy equipment, or working in confined spaces pose risks Psychosocial Hazards- Stress, long hours, and tight deadlines can impact mental health We provide reasonable accommodation for employees with disabilities to enable them to perform the essential functions of the job.
