Formerly TSC Training Academy, now known as Gallagher Bassett is safety training consultant company providing construction site and safety training courses to qualify workers in the NY / NJ area. Full-Time In Person Training Job Description Full-time technical instructor responsible for classroom and virtual instruction of environmental, health, and procedural safety training programs for the industrial and construction trades. Ideal candidate will participate in research, design, and development of new curriculums and formation of supporting written and electronic training references. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Delivery of live and virtual technical training presentation and webinars Creation of student and instructor resources including course agenda, student manuals, presentations, and learning activities Client relations through representation of organization services and technical capabilities in support of expanding client base and encouraging repeat client engagement Familiarity with use and maintenance of equipment, devices and supplies used in the fields of environmental services, hazardous materials management, clean-up, and emergency response to lead in-class demonstrations and interactive student experience Position requires flexible schedule, with occasional evenings and weekend availability. Offsite training, including occasional overnight and multi-day sessions in and out of state, meetings, conferences, seminars, or other events BASIC QUALIFICATIONS OSHA 500 Authorized Trainer Certification Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the environmental and/or construction industry, preferably in a supervisory role that related to safety Knowledge of applicable OSHA, EPA, ANSI and New York City Building Code standards Demonstrate strong analytical ability and technical skills, and capability to coordinate with remote team members to review project deliverables to ensure project compliance and adherence to deadlines Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills, including strong document production skills and technical writing ability Must be bi-lingual (English & Spanish) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety, and Health, or related field required. Or A BS/BA degree in a related field. Or five years of related practical and training experience BCSP designation: CSP, CIH or CHST OSHA 500 & 501 Authorized Trainer Certification Experience in public health, industrial hygiene, worker health & safety, safety processes covered by OSHA 1910.120 hazardous waste and emergency response (HAZWOPER) regulations, and work environment Proficiency in MS PowerPoint and MS Word or Apple Keynote and Pages Valid driver license Experience providing training to workers and adult learners, using popular education/interactive approaches COMPENSATION Salary is commensurate with experience.
