We are looking for a Tax Manager to join our team. You'll be in charge of tax compliance, financial reporting, and tax planning. This includes researching, analyzing, coordinating, complying with and implementing the tax strategies of Sensient Technologies. This position is a key member of the Corporate Tax Team where you will be required to be a pillar of strategy and a visionary onsite at our Milwaukee Corporate office 5 days per week.What you'll Do:Responsible for the federal, multi-state and local income tax returns. Including completion and review of the supporting calculations and documentation of the Company's tax positions.Responsible for quarterly and annual Federal and state income tax payments.Responsible for overseeing the US R&D credit calculation and documentationResponsible for reviewing the quarterly and year-end tax provisions and assisting with documentation.Responsible for managing state and local tax audits. Specific responsibilities include, gathering and preparing information requested by the auditors, evaluating the amounts and validity of proposed tax adjustments.Responsible for managing US Sales and Use Tax issues.Responsible for US transfer pricing calculationsResearch and prepare technical analyses for the Vice-President, Tax.Assist and support the Vice-President, Tax with tax planning, including acquisition related planning. Research, design and implement systems to automate the tax accounting and return filing processes.Limited travel to other U.S. plants is required. What You'll Bring:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required; CPA preferredWe prefer six years of experience with federal and international tax matters, including performing tax research, planning and compliance required. Demonstrated ability to apply project management expertise to multiple priorities from strategic to tactical, within tight deadlines. Need to be self-directed with strong leadership skills. Requires the ability to read and interpret the Internal Revenue Code, Treasury regulations, rulings and case law and correctly apply the findings. Requires the ability to manipulate data from numerous sources, correctly apply US GAAP rules to the data and consolidate and summarize the results.
