The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in tax law, particularly within MA transactions, and possess an LL.M. in Taxation.Duties:Conduct legal research and analysis of federal, state, and international tax matters.Advise clients on tax implications of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other corporate transactions.Draft and review transactional documents, including tax opinions, memoranda, and agreements.Assist in tax due diligence and provide support during deal negotiations.Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals to provide comprehensive tax advice and solutions.Requirements:Minimum of 4 years of tax law experience, specifically on mergers and acquisitions.Experience working at an AmLaw 200 firm or within the federal Tax MA group at a Big 4 Accounting firm preferred.LL.M. in Taxation from an accredited law school.Admitted to practice law in Minnesota or eligible for admission through reciprocity.Skills:Strong understanding of corporate taxation and related laws.Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Certifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.LL.M. in Taxation.
