The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in a related field, preferably focusing on MA transactions.Duties:Provide legal support and advice on tax implications related to mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructuring.Conduct legal research and analysis on complex tax issues.Draft and review transactional documents, including tax opinions, memoranda, and agreements.Collaborate with partners and senior associates on client matters, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.Assist in tax planning strategies for corporate clients to optimize tax efficiencies.Requirements:Minimum 4 years of tax law experience, specifically on mergers and acquisitions.Experience in an AmLaw 200 tax group, federal Tax MA group, or similar practice area at a Big 4 Accounting firm is highly preferred.LL.M. in Taxation from an accredited law school.Admission to the State Bar of Michigan or eligibility to waive into the Michigan Bar.Certifications:Preferred certifications include CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or similar tax-related certifications.Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
