The annual salary range for this position is $110,000 and goes up to $160,000 , based on what we are asking you to do, and your qualifications. Due to the classification level of the projects we support, we are not able to offer fully remote opportunities at this time. As a Defense Contractor, we are frequently working with sensitive material, and therefore, we need to ensure where you access your work is secure. You will have a shiny desk at our G2 Ops office, plus the opportunity to work at a military site directly with our customers (this is a good thing!). We do allow teleworking with prior approval, but supporting the DoD, you will be required to work at a military site as well. Still not convinced? Allow us to elaborate. For this opportunity, we are seeking a highly motived, team-oriented Mid – Senior level Systems Engineer to join our team. This position offers a great opportunity to work onsite with customers who are influencing current and future decisions of our Submarine Shore Communication Systems programs. As a G2 Ops subject matter expert, you will act as a liaison between the program office and its in-service engineering agent to provide systems engineering support on current and new communications technologies supporting Systems Engineering working groups and submarine shore communications modernization efforts. This will be a versatile role that will be expected to build relationships and maintain communications between stakeholders. The responsibilities include managing a portfolio of complex and high visibility systems engineering projects, including technical and quality control oversight. The Systems Engineer will prepare reports for upper management as required and ensure program requirements are not only being met but communicated between Customers. What does this mean to you? We are seeking expertise in Systems Engineering and interested candidates should have at least five (5) years of relevant professional experience with projects for US Navy programs. We have the desire for someone with previous submarine technology experience who understands submarine communications. You must be able to communicate clearly with stakeholders and engineering leadership teams to ensure requirements are clearly defined and Customer expectations are being met. The ability to analyze new and complex program-related problems and create innovative solutions that integrate schedule, technology, methodology, tools, and financial aspects are also critical components to this position. We require someone with a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (while a technical degree in Computer Science, System Engineering, Information Systems is preferred, we welcome those with Business Management degrees as well). Lastly, as we are working for the DoD, we are beholden to some requirements. The ideal candidate would already possess an active DoD Secret level clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI without issue. D on’t let it stop you from applying if you don’t have a clearance.
