The Supplier Relationship Manager is responsible for completing sourcing activities and managing relationships with suppliers. Such activities shall include but are not limited to: contact with suppliers & vendors, identifying & evaluating new supply chain sources, placing purchase orders, managing schedules, and resolving issues related to the procurement.Are you someone who is looking to challenge yourself? Candidates for this role must be able to demonstrate JAKTOOL core values: Communicating Clearly Showing Confidence with Humility Seeking & Applying Knowledge Expressing an Enthusiastic Attitude Applying a Strong Work Ethic Building Trust on Multiple Levels DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage relationships with suppliers and ensure the smooth flow of materials and goods into the organization Manage the buying process for a given set of goods in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets Apply sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets Maintain strong partnerships with suppliers, ensuring they meet quality standards and delivery requirements Identify new suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and pricing Prepare and issue purchase orders in line with final negotiations with selected suppliers and in line with organizational targets and requirements Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery, or invoice issues Track, analyze and evaluate supplier performance and make recommendations for improvement Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, company guidelines, and policies related to purchasing and supply chain management Deliver briefs, updates, and reports to management and project teams as and when required Develop ideas and strategies to add value, aid business performance, and work towards a strategy of continuous improvement Responsible for material control and management including chain of custody and appropriate documentation. Manages direct deliveries and drop shipments. Manage supplier schedules and ensure changes are reflected within the ERP systems Other duties, as assigned REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field Proven experience in supply chain management or a related role Strong negotiation and communication skills Skilled at building and maintaining effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers In-depth knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions Ability to manage multiple tasks and work with frequent interruptions and changing priorities, while meeting deadlines. Excellent problem-solving skills Detail-oriented and highly organized Customer service-oriented mindset
