Description: Lockheed Martin (LM) Missiles and Fire Control(MFC) seeking a Staff Supplier Quality Engineerfor a position based in Fort Worth, TX to manageand support assigned supplier(s) for the GMLRSprogram. Travel will be required to assignedsupplier(s).Responsibilities include but not limited to:Drives supplier quality performance byidentifying trends, monitoring supplier processesand ensuring corrective and preventive actionsare implemented.Provide internal and supplier support for rootcause and corrective/ preventative actions tied to Supplier Corrective Action Requests, AuditFindings, and various Action Items. Interface daily with the supplier, IntegratedProduct Team (IPT), LM production sites,customer, and program management. Supports IPT and various production sites withreviews of quality data on failures, yields,rework, scrap, and non-conformance aging.Participates as an active member of MaterialReview Boards (MRBs) and Failure ReviewBoards (FRBs) which includes dispositioning nonconforming hardware, identifying hardwarecontainment requirements, identifyingappropriate root cause and corrective action(RCCA) is taken to prevent recurrence. Provide technical liaison support related toQuality Engineering matters for products such asrocket motors, igniters, cables, mechanical,machine hardware, and more.Support scheduled product source inspections,first article inspections, purchase order reviews,surveillance assessments, and product linevalidations as outlined by AS9102 and applicablecompany and industry standards.Ensure supplier contract flow-down requirementsare implement and verified.Utilize lean initiatives to reduce waste andmaintain continuous improvement. Provide mentoring and training to Qualityindividuals supporting GMLRS.A level 4 employee typically has 9 - 15 years ofprofessional experience. Basic Qualifications: -STEM degree at the Bachelor level or above and/or equivalent experience/combined education.-Must be a U.S. citizen and be able to obtain andmaintain a secret clearance.-Experience with performing First ArticleInspections to AS9102 requirements or PPAPAS9100 interpretation and application experience.-Thorough knowledge of Industry recognizedQuality systems such as International (ISO) andaerospace (AS).-Experience as a team leader.-Experience implementing Material ReviewBoards, Failure Review Boards, anddispositioning non-conformances.-Ability to interpret drawings and specificationsfor development of quality standards, methods,work instructions and procedures for inspectionand test of manufactured products.-Experience in making risk-based data drivendecisions.-Advanced understanding and experiencecompleting root cause analysis and correctiveaction planning.-Demonstrated understanding of audittechniques.-Knowledge of Configuration Management andcontrol processes.-Proficient skill level with Microsoft Officeapplications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.Experience with Machine Shop, MechanicalAssembly, Tooling / Gages / Fixtures, andMechanical Inspection.-Demonstrated presentation skills.-Ability to travel at least 20%, including to variousdomestic production and supplier locations. Desired Skills: -STEM degree at bachelors level or higher preferred.-Experience with Quality or Manufacturing auditing.-Experience with Propulsion, Chemicals, or Energetics.-Experience with SAP and Procure to Pay (P2P).-Experience or knowledge of special processes and associated specification requirements.-Prior experience working at MFC and LM's supply base.-American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certifications.-Expert in Geometric, Dimension, & Tolerancing (GD&T).-Extensive technical knowledge and experience in the area of Supplier Quality.-Experience with providing technical liaison support related to design and quality engineering matters. Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
