Location: Parachute (Garfield County Public Library District) Salary: $16.54/hr Hours: Up to 28 hours per week. (Hours each week vary and are not guaranteed.) 📢 Calling all fun-loving individuals! The Garfield County Public Library District is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as a Substitute Library Specialist! About Us: Garfield County Public Library District serves the diverse communities of Rifle, Silt, New Castle, Parachute, Glenwood Springs, and Carbondale. Our libraries are vibrant hubs of learning and community engagement, offering a wide range of services and resources to our patrons. The Role: As a Substitute Library Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include providing exceptional customer service, assisting with library operations, and ensuring a positive experience for all visitors. This role offers flexibility, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while contributing to the community. Key Responsibilities: Delivering outstanding customer service to library patrons Assisting with various library tasks, including shelving books and organizing materials Providing support during temporary staffing shortages Maintaining a clean and welcoming library environment Performing basic computer tasks with proficiency Collaborating with team members to achieve library goals Requirements: High school diploma or GED Basic computer literacy Strong attention to detail Excellent communication skills Availability to work flexible hours. Must be able to work evenings and weekends. Must be available for last-minute call-ins.
