ABOUT THE POSITION: Hawai'i Preparatory Academy is seeking a dynamic and organized Student Store and Cafe Manager to lead the operations of our student store and student-run cafe. This role is responsible for managing daily operations, overseeing inventory, supervising student workers, and ensuring a welcoming, supportive and productive environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: C afe Responsibilities : Oversees the student-run café, managing student workers and supervising daily operations. Ensures a positive, structured experience where students are trained, engaged, and responsible for maintaining the café's service standards and environment. Develop a leadership transition plan for student leaders. Ensure compliance with all Department of Health requirements. Textbook and Supply Management : Orders textbooks and teachers' materials for school terms and summer programs; maintains inventory to meet the needs of students and faculty. Product Research and Inventory : Identifies and orders appealing products, including school logo items and other merchandise, and manages inventory control in both the bookstore and café. Store Management : Oversees the student store's operations, offering a range of products for students, faculty, and visitors. Provide store merchandise for special events. Financial Transactions and Security : Manages cash handling, credit card transactions, and ensures the security of financial processes in both the bookstore and café. Prepares end-of-day reconciliation. Administrative Tasks : Handles invoices, bills, filing, and other necessary paperwork related to inventory and sales. Ordering and Stocking : Conducts major ordering for imprinted supplies, clothing, general supplies, food supplies and café items, ensuring timely restocking to meet demand. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Proficient typing and computer skills. Experience in retail sales/buying, and café management. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in math, writing, and communication.
