Practice Area: Education - Special Needs, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 2 Years, A law firm in Irvine, CA, is seeking a Student Services and Disabilities Associate Attorney to support senior associates, of counsel, and partners in the Student Services and Disabilities Law Practice Group (SSDLPG).Job Duties:Conduct legal research and analysis on student services and disabilities law issues.Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents, including memoranda, briefs, contracts, and agreements related to educational law.Provide support in negotiations, mediations, and dispute resolutions involving educational institutions, students, and parents.Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and prepare for hearings and trials.Attend client meetings and hearings, and represent clients in administrative proceedings as necessary.Maintain client relationships and ensure effective communication and responsiveness to client inquiries.Stay updated on developments in student services law, disabilities law, and educational regulations.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the California State Bar or eligibility for admission through reciprocity.2-5 years of experience practicing in student services, disabilities law, or related fields.Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.Demonstrated commitment to client service and professionalism.Preferred Certifications:Certification or coursework in education law, disabilities law, or related areas is advantageous.Benefits: The firm offers a competitive compensation package, including medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development.
