The ideal candidate will provide support to senior associates, of counsel, and partners in the Student Services and Disabilities Legal Practice Group (SSDLPG). Key details of the position are as follows: Job Overview:The Student Services and Disabilities Associate Attorney will play a crucial role in providing legal support and assistance to senior members of the SSDLPG. The successful candidate will possess 2-5 years of experience, coupled with strong research, writing, and people skills. Duties:Collaborate with senior attorneys in providing legal advice and representation on matters related to student services and disabilities.Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies and client counseling.Draft and review legal documents including memoranda, briefs, contracts, and correspondence.Assist in the preparation and representation of clients in hearings, mediation, and other legal proceedings.Provide support in developing and implementing policies and procedures related to student services and disabilities. Requirements:2-5 years of experience in education law, disability law, or a related field.Strong research, writing, and interpersonal skills.Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admitted to practice in California or eligibility for admission via waiver or examination. Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications:Admission to the California State Bar or eligibility for admission. Skills:Excellent legal research and writing abilities.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
