Job Description: The Student Account Specialist is responsible for activities related to student accounts receivable for The College of Global Studies (TCGS). This person will handle the recording of student deposits and subsequent registration and billing for the TCGS programs. The person in this position is responsible for the cash receipting of payments and making sure they are accurately applied to the students' accounts for TCGS. Location: Glenside Responsibilities : Provide comprehensive, high quality customer service to all internal and external customers via in-person, phone and email. Recording of student deposits and subsequent registration and billing for the TCGS programs. Generate and distribute student statements. Deposit and record all payments received from multiple sources, such as mail, the bank lockbox, the E-Market portal. Create and maintain semester payment plans in the payment portal. Review student balances and outreach for unpaid accounts. Maintain and update published fees for the website and the student information system Troubleshoot missing or misapplied student payments. Qualifications : Required Skills and Abilities: Analytical thinker, able to identify issues, obtain relevant information, relate and compare data from different sources, and identify alternative solutions. Ability to present information to individuals or groups; ability to deliver presentations suited to the characteristics and needs of the audience. Ability to convey information clearly and concisely to groups or individuals either verbally or in writing to ensure that they understand the information and the message. Ability to listen and respond appropriately to others. Ability to impact and influence others to further the institution's strategic objectives. Ability to use Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and basic databases and software Qualifications: Associates Degree 1-3 years experience preferred Ability to work with a multicultural and multigenerational customer base. Strong analytical, critical thinking, technology skills.
