(External Candidates Only) The City of O'Fallon, MO is looking to hire a reliable Stormwater Maintenance Worker . Our Stormwater Maintenance Workers earn competitive hourly rates from $ 20.94 to $31.41 (top of scale) hourly . Your first year you can expect to make a starting salary of $20.94 hourly. A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A STORMWATER MAINTENANCE WORKER As part of our Street Department, you will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance and repair of the City's storm infrastructure. Generally, your schedule will be daytime hours Monday through Friday, with required shifts during winter street clearing events. Other duties and responsibilities include: Repairing storm sewer structures. Performing dye tests of storm sewer structures to ensure proper water flow. Excavating and repairing underground pipes and structures. Filling sinkholes. Inspecting and cleaning high flow areas following rainstorms. Repairing driveways and yards. Cleaning basins and unclogging storm lines. Operating a variety of equipment, including excavators, ski loaders, backhoes and other assigned equipment. Making improvement and updates to the stormwater system. Assisting with snow removal. We're looking for someone who has knowledge of the maintenance and repair of municipal stormwater systems as well as the operation and preventative maintenance of a variety of equipment. This person should be someone who can be relied upon to perform their daily tasks in varying weather conditions, including inclement weather. This person can expect to be exposed to noise, dust, dirt, grease and machinery with moving parts that requires the use of protective devices such as masks, goggles, gloves, etc. Could this be the opportunity for you?
