Severe sepsis, DKA with PH> 7, simple pneumonia requiring non-invasive ventilation, acute stroke, post-intervention STEMI without MCS, intermediate-low risk PE, and post-procedure patients requiring frequent monitoring.Founded in 1976, Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is a 237-bed community hospital offering patients convenience and state-of-the-art care in a unique healing environment. Supplementing its comprehensive acute care and emergency department services, Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is home to the nationally recognized Inova Joint Replacement Center and the Inova Rehabilitation Center. We are offering a Sign On Bonus as well as a Relocation Bonus for eligible nurses!- The Inova RN:• As a Registered Nurse, you will provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patients/families, nurse and healthcare delivery teams.• To help achieve our mission, you will consistently provide safe and therapeutic care in a holistic/systematic way while incorporating differences into the provision of care and conducting all patient care in a patient/family centered manner.• Your ability to integrate knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum, to include patient and family education, is of vital importance.• Communicating effectively and working cooperatively with others while having respect for and an understanding of other clinical disciplines is required.• Your ability to determine processes for delivery of care from direct patient/family communication, technology and other healthcare team member collaboration is essential.Requirements:Requires a minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting.BSN or AD Required Education:BSN from an accredited school of nursing.If RN has an associate degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 24 months of the start date-- BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification from American Heart Association required- VA RN license or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN- Proficient in English with strong verbal and written communication skills- Flexibility and ability to demonstrate professionalism and critical thinking in dynamic and busy situationsInova Job ID #646269.
