Staff Accountant

Description:
Job Description: The Staff Accountant will play a key role in our accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. This position involves a variety of accounting tasks including preparing financial statements, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, and supporting the month-end close process. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain financial records and reports. Perform general ledger accounting duties, including journal entries and reconciliations. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes. Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities. Support internal and external audits. Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records. Participate in process improvements and efficiency initiatives. Perform other accounting duties and projects as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2-4 years of experience in accounting or finance. Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) preferred. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. CPA certification or progress towards CPA is a plus.
