Sr. Project Manager Description: Membrane Technology and Research (MTR) is a world leader in membrane separation technology. Our business areas include the petrochemical, refining, power, and natural gas industries. MTR is a small company located in Newark, CA with additional sales offices in Belgium, and China. MTR manufactures membrane materials in our Newark location and designs gas separation systems to utilize membrane separation technology for our customers. MTR is working on exciting new CO2 capture technologies and is looking for a highly motivated project manager to work with our team of talented engineers and researchers. This project manager will be responsible for managing our new CO2 capture projects. Job responsibilities are: • Define and manage the project scope • Create and manage project schedules using Microsoft Project to ensure each project is completed within the given timeframe • Manage the project budget with regards to project resources, equipment purchases, and outside contractors • Determine and manage project resources required for each project • Manage resources from different departments within the company and external subcontractors • Create a Project Charter, Statement of Work, Work Breakdown Structure, and Project Closeout Plan for each project • Create monthly project update reports for all stakeholders within the company • Issue purchase order requisitions and manage delivery progress of purchased parts • Review and approve invoices received from outside contractors and vendors • Manage changes in scope including cost, resources, and schedule • Continually monitor and report project performance • Manage all incoming and outgoing project documents • Lead project meetings with internal and external stakeholders. Create and distribute Minutes of Meeting Job Requirements: • 8-10 years of project management experience • PMP (Project Management Professional) certificate or equal • Bachelor of Science degree • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) • Ability to work in a team setting • Experience in risk identification and management • Experience in managing projects over $30M • Mastery of Microsoft Project, Word, and Excel programs Preferred Requirements: • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or related field • Experience in the power, petrochemical, refinery, or natural gas industry • Experience in rotating equipment (fans, compressors, and pumps) industry We are an AA/EEO/Veterans/Disabled Employer
