At Niagara, we re looking for Team Members who want to be part of achieving our mission to provide our customers the highest quality most affordable bottled water.Consider applying here, if you want to:Work in an entrepreneurial and dynamic environment with a chance to make an impact.Develop lasting relationships with great people.Have the opportunity to build a satisfying career.We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages for our Team Members.Sr. Manager of Procurement, PackagingThe Sr. Manager of Procurement responsible for leading procurement strategy, as well as category and operational management of Niagara s complex packaging materials spend categories including but not limited to corrugate and carton packaging, to reduce Total Cost of Ownership , provide supply continuity, achieve strategic growth goals, and deliver on quality and service expectations.This role will assist in Procurement category governance, as well as organizational and functional development, reporting directly to the Director of Procurement.Essential Functions:Develop and execute , in concert with relevant stakeholders, procurement strategies for all categories under control category that deliver on multi-year category needs, reduce our Total Cost of Ownership, and improve availability, quality, service and innovationSeek, support and implement raw material cost reduction opportunitiesDevelop Requests for Information (RFI) with potential vendorsDevelop Requests for Proposals (RFP) and Requests for Quotes (RFQ), assess results, document recommendations and communicate results to vendors and internal stakeholdersDevelop fact-based negotiation strategies, lead and bring to completion negotiations with suppliers to achieve the company s tactical and strategic business goals and targets able to change and shape negotiation outcomes counter to any current or upcoming disadvantageous market dynamics; able to create leverage in negotiation process by using novel strategies and outside-the-box thinkingCollaborate closely with key stakeholders on supplier selection and service level benchmarks to gain proper alignment on category direction and ensure success; able to influence senior leadership both within and outside organization to align and achieve strategic objectivesDevelop and maintain vendor agreements in collaboration with Legal team; able to create innovative commercial agreement structuresOversee implementation activities, assess and mitigate potential risks, evaluate project successes and failures and drive process changes to improve future projectsManage all aspects of category from source to payment and ensure compliance to policy on all sourcing activitiesManage vendor relationships, track performance and communicate and implement vendor performance feedbackDevelopt and manage departmental budgets and work with Finance team to analyze trends and monitor and address any variances on delivered pricingResearch, track and communicate industry trends, best practices, applicable indices, and competitive offerings to identify opportunities for innovation, competitive advantage and increased profitability; anticipate future market and industry movements and proactively adapt category strategiesAssist in the hiring, training, supervising and evaluating of the department personnelLead or assist in projects that help build the function, department as well as the overall Niagara businessAssist in identification, evaluation, selection and implementation of relevant technologiesSeek, support and implement internal and external process improvement opportunitiesThis position requires up to 25% travelPlease note this job description is not designed to contain a comprehensive list of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
