Responsibilities Who Are We?Financial Operations enables the organization to meet customers' needs by performing essential accounting and analytics functions such as strategic planning, financial reporting and financial processing. As a group, we strive to satisfy internal and external reporting obligations, enable informed decision making, optimize financial processes and develop our people.The Financial Statement team within Financial Operations provides support to the organization by preparing, analyzing and producing accurate financial statements and regulatory reports. We seek to provide financial reporting to business partners and senior leadership to enable informed decision making through insightful analysis and effective communication. Role Summary:The Financial Statement team analysts provide accurate and timely financial and statistical information in compliance with applicable rules and regulations to both external organizations and internal customers. Analysis of financial and statistical information is performed to provide management with the information necessary to evaluate financial results and make informed business decisions. Analysts are required to have learning agility and adaptability to work across multiple teams.Primary Job Responsibilities Could Include:Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports for Property & Casualty, Life, Investment Management/Brokerage and other affiliates Analyze and interpret complex financial information and data Research accounting guidance and the appropriate application to our financial reporting Communicate financial information to leadership and business partners through summaries, reports and presentations to enable informed decision making Responsibility for maintaining proper operation of internal controls Responsibility for other financial and regulatory reporting Qualifications *Applicants are required to be eligible to lawfully work in the U.S. immediately; employer will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work authorization (e.g. H-1B visa) for this opportunity****Candidates applying for this position should have the following skills and qualifications: Understanding of core accounting principles and financial statements Broad business and financial acumen Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to work with all levels of leadership Learning agility and adaptability to work across multiple teams A high degree of internal motivation and initiative Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines Ability to lead and/or represent Financial Operations on projects and initiatives Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including utilization of advanced formulas and report automation techniques Items to Note: Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance CPA designation preferred PDN-9c522811-becd-462e-a5f0-14cd07e86edd
