Sr. Electrical Assembler - (This is a Contract/ Contract-to-Hire role) The Sr. Electrical Assembler is responsible for the Assembly and Soldering of LED light heads, cables and power supplies for a variety of style of lights. The task requires both an electrical understanding and mechanical integration skills. Assembly requires the use of small hand tools that range from manual, power, and pneumatic types. In short, the light line will build up the assembly, test it, and prepare it to be shipped to the final destination where the magic comes together. RESPONSIBILITIES: Experience with formal electronics training, including installation tasks, cable dressing, cable tray, conduit, and making or repairing connectors Stage, set up, assemble, test and install LED light hardware Use precision calibrated tools – torque wrenches, ohmmeters and programming equipment Hands on operations of medium and small assemblies that are fragile and delicate Read, understand, and interpret drawings and schematics Perform work according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions Collaborate with production Engineers to develop and document activities Ensure all assembly services are performed on time, safely and in a professional manner Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment EDUCATION, TRAINING ANS SKILLS: High School Diploma or GED required. 5+ solid years of electrical assembly experience specific to soldering PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Experience in a fast pace production/assembly environment A demonstrated ability in reading/understanding technical drawings, schematics, and test procedures Advanced soldering ability and experience are highly desired Ability to work effectively in a team environment Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift at least 30+ lbs Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed WET is an Equal Opportunity Employer; employment with WET is governed on the basis of merit, competence and qualifications and will not be influenced in any manner by race, color, religion, gender, national origin/ethnicity, veteran status, disability status, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, mental or physical disability or any other legally protected status.
