Job Description Summary Join a stable and growing company on a long-term Federal project with variety and interesting challenges. Apply your expertise in assisting the government with System Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) Testing Services. We are looking for a Senior Test Engineer who can independently perform ALL aspects of Automation testing. Must have prior experience and expertise with many tools (see requirements). Government requirement, no exceptions. Workplace: During the first 90 days, up to three days per week onsite in Mount Weather, VA. After the initial 90 days, one day per week onsite with the remainder remote. Top salary for highly qualified candidates. Responsibilities Analyze customer needs and develop automated software solutions in an Agile/DevOps environment Independently develop code using networking protocols, create end-user scenarios, and execute tests to verify system functionality, performance, and Section 508 compliance Review customer needs and software requirements to determine optimal test design based on resource constraints Provide competent leadership and highly specialized testing of complex systems Simultaneously plan, manage and provide technical oversight for testing activities. Ensure that tested components are compliant with standards and requirements Communicate with systems analysts, engineers, programmers, operational staff, and others to test system capabilities Modify existing automation software to correct errors and allow it to adapt to changing requirements Maintain all artifacts in a version-controlled repository using Git/GitHub or a similar tool Communicate directly with customer staff orally and in writing to plan and report progress Independently develop automation test suites for Functional, Performance, and Section 508 Independently develop automated scripts using software languages such as Java, C Independently validate the accuracy of scripts Independently develop test scenarios Qualifications - Required U.S. Citizen Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field Minimum 8 years of IT experience 5+ years of IT experience as a Functional, Automation, and Performance Test Engineer (in all test areas, not just one of them) 1+ years' experience with functional automation testing tools such as UFT, Selenium, or Katalon 1+ years' experience with TestNG/Junit, Cobertura/Jacoco, Axe Monitor, CI/CD Promotion, Jenkins 1+ years' experience with at least one performance testing tool such as LoadRunner / Performance Center or JMeter 1+ years' experience with one API testing tool such as SoapUI, Postman, or RestEasy 1+ years' experience in Maestro (Jira, Confluence) and Test Management software including ALM and other tools in MicroFocus Test suite 5+ years' experience with one or more development methodologies such as Agile, Agile-Hybrid, DevSecOps, Scrum, Kanban, Lean, Rapid Application Development (RAD), and TDD Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong problem-solving skills Qualifications - Highly Desired 3+ years' experience with creating automated test scripts and end-to-end scenarios 3+ years' experience analyzing test results to isolate root causes for functional and performance problems 1+ year experience working on Federal projects (resume should show name of US federal department or agency) 1+ year experience with SQL Compensation $107K-117K , based on capability and experience Other Workplace: During the first 90 days, up to three days per week onsite in Mount Weather, VA.
