Specialist I - Autism Supports, Adults Specialist I - Autism Supports, Adults Join our team of caring human service providers! At Family Support Services of Pathlight's Autism Connections, we are dedicated to creating opportunities for adults of all ages with autism to thrive while remaining independent in their own homes. We are looking for a creative professional to help teach & support individuals to be as independent as possible by completing tasks with them to make progress on their support plan goals. Many participants work on decision making, household management, safety, social skills and relationship building. The program is person-centered. In this position, you will: Work with individuals to live independently and make progress on plan goals. Implement strategies that foster effective planning and decision making. Track progress and help adjust approach as necessary. Celebrate accomplishments towards goals and motivate individual to grow more. Help individuals to form friendships and connections with others. Plan your schedule and track your time, travel & expenses weekly. Location: Most support is delivered in person at residences and day locations in the pioneer valley region. With a Pathlight provided computer - planning, scheduling, case records work & communication can be done from own home office. Offices in Springfield, Northampton & Greenfield can be used in completing work as needed also. Mileage Reimbursement is included. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 Hours daily, between 9AM-7PM with flexibility to best meet case load needs, adjusting hours as needed. Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma. Knowledge of autism and treatments through education / training & experience. Over 1 year working with adults with developmental disabilities in an outreach model. Requires valid driver's license and reliable transportation/vehicle. Annual Salary : $41,454.50 Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma.
