Position Overview: The Northwest Tri-County Intermediate Unit (IU5) is seeking a contracted full-time Special Education Teacher to support students at Sarah Reed Children's Center - Hamilton Campus. This is for a therapeutic learning classroom for grades 5 - 8. Pay Rate: $44.66Coverage to begin on (or around) October 25th, 2024, through March 7th, 2025.Schedule: Monday-Friday- 7:30am-3:00pm (half hour duty free lunch)Location: Hamilton Campus Required Qualifications: PA Instructional Certificate: Special Education PK - 8 or Special Education PK-12 Desired Qualifications: Certification in regular educationExperience utilizing Positive Behavior SupportsKnowledge of various disability categories (i.e. Developmental Delays, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Speech and Language) Essential Functions: Developing lessons and teaching children in classroomsConducting evaluations to determine eligibility for servicesWriting Evaluation Reports and Individualized Education Plans for studentsProviding services as determined through the IEP processInputting data utilizing the PELICAN system Job Posted by ApplicantPro
