Our partner is seeking a Space Thermal Architect Designer to join their mission and become a key member of their project team. The successful Space Thermal Architect Designer will design cutting-edge thermal architectures including component selection, thermal budgets, select passive/active control systems, and perform preliminary calculations. Key Responsibilities for the Space Thermal Architect Designer: - Strategically select and size MLI/SLI, radiators, heaters, thermistors, thermal straps, heat pipes, cryocoolers, cold blocks, and more, ensuring seamless thermal harmony. - Craft meticulous thermal calculations and detailed designs - from intricate components to the entire telescope assembly, no detail escapes your expertise. - Interpret complex thermo-mechanical simulations, proposing innovative solutions to optimise performance. - Plan and execute rigorous tests to verify your thermal design's functionality, ensuring it withstands the harsh space environment. - Become a master storyteller, translating your technical brilliance into clear and concise reports, presentations, and design documents. Key Skill & Experience for the Space Thermal Architect Designer: - Possess a degree in Thermal Engineering, Physics, or a related field. - Prior experience in a similar position, demonstrating your ability to design and manage thermal systems. - Deep understanding of Focal Plane Assemblies, detectors, and thermal control systems in a vacuum environment. - Possess strong English and/or Spanish language skills B2+ level.
