Description:
Job Scope: We are seeking a talented Software Developer to join our team. The Software Developer will be working with other developers to create the next generation of workflow automation software in post-production. They will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable and reliable solutions that meet the needs of our clients and support the growth of our business. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain software that automates post-production workflows Collaborate with the software team to identify areas where software tools can improve workflow efficiency and implement solutions Participate in code reviews and contribute to team-wide best practices for software development Create and maintain technical documentation for software tools and workflows Collaborate with other departments, including data operators, editors, artists, and producers, to ensure smooth integration of software solutions with existing workflows Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continually improve software development practices Skills/Experience: Technical B.S. or equivalent professional experience Required Skills/Competencies: 2+ years of experience in software development Understanding of microservices architecture and design patterns Strong knowledge of Python Experience with containerization (Docker) Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git) Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communication and collaboration skills Passion for learning and continuous improvement Preferred Skills/Competencies: Previous experience in a post-production facility Familiarity with common post-production software APIs, such as Media Shuttle, Aspera/Faspex, ColorFront’s Transkoder, Davinci Resolve, FilmLight/BaseLight, and/or MediaPulse Experience using Media Asset Management systems such as ShotGrid JavaScript and Vue experience Pay Range : $112,000 - $135,000 / Per Year It is the policy of Panavision to provide equal employment opportunities without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, genetic information or any other protected characteristic under applicable State and Federal law.
