Sphere Mechanical Corp. in China Lake Acres, CA, US, invites you to join our team as a Journeyman Sheetmetal Installer. As a Journeyman Sheetmetal Installer, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and installing a variety of HVAC equipment, including indoor air quality, refrigerant, and control systems. We are looking for a dedicated professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality work and contributing to our team's success. Join us at Sphere Mechanical Corp. and be part of a dynamic and rewarding work experience. This project is located at the Naval Air Weapons Station, China Lake. The job is prevailing wage, working on four buildings. Responsibilities:• Set up all heating, air conditioning, air quality, refrigeration, and control systems• Probe tubing joints, pipes, and connections for possible leaks• Advise clients on how to properly maintain their new equipment• Maintain records of completed projects and parts used• Connect pipes or tubing from the equipment to the fuel, water, or refrigerant source Qualifications:• Working knowledge of low voltage electrical wiring and high voltage connections• Applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent• Must have required state and local HVAC technician licenses• Must have EPA 608 refrigerant recovery certification• Certification or associate’s degree from an HVAC program at a technical school and 2+ years as an HVAC installation technician• Journeyman Certification Required: Must have completed an accredited journeyman program Compensation: $32 - $36 hourly About Company: Sphere Mechanical is a leading HVAC Mechanical Contractor based out of San Diego.
