Sundial Beach Resort & Spa, located on tropical Sanibel Island, is seeking a full or part time experienced Server to join our team. Ideal candidates have attention to detail, take pride in their work, and have a positive influence in a team setting. Candidates must be hardworking, have a strong work-ethic, and be a responsible team player. Job Summary: To provide guests with a memorable experience that encourages return visits. Provide friendly, attentive, and timely service to create an exceptional dining and entertainment experience for all of our guests. Essential Functions: Maintains a Guest and team focus while performing duties Assumes responsibility for quality guests’ experience Welcome and greet guests Inform guests of any specials Recommend specific beverage, appetizer, entrée, and desserts Answer questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant and resort functions and services Take food and beverage orders from guests, enter orders in point-of-sale system Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely matter Pre-bus tables between each course Perform side work during each shift as required by service station assignment Complete opening and closing side work Maintain cleanliness and stocked work service and dining areas Monitor and observe guests dining experience, ensuring guests are satisfied with the F&B food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, and process through the POS system Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers before they ask Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return Attends all scheduled team member meetings and brings suggestions for improvement Notify manager-on-duty any time a guest is not 100% satisfied with their experience Have complete knowledge of all policies, standards and procedures of the department Be familiar with resort services, amenities, and outlets.
