Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking Principal / Sr. Principal Cyber Software Engineer - 13024 . This position will be located in Huntsville, Alabama, Roy, Utah, Colorado Springs, Colorado or Vandenberg SFB, California and will support the Sentinel program. This Cyber Software Engineer will support multiple software scrum teams by analyzing software to ensure it is free from weaknesses and vulnerabilities, either intentionally designed into the software or accidentally inserted at any time during its life cycle, and that the software functions as intended by the purchaser or user. Additionally, this engineer will work with development teams to aggregate Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) related to software security and supply chain risk. This is a technical role that requires software engineering experience. Job Qualifications: You'll Bring These Qualifications:* Principal Cyber Software Engineer: 05 Years with Bachelor's in related field of study, 03 Years with Masters, 00 Years with PhD or 04 additional years in lieu of a degree.* Active DoD Secret clearance - a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years.* US Citizenship with Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP)* 2+ years' experience software development (e.g., C, C++, JavaScript, Typescript, Python, C#)* DoD 8570 IAT II or Higher (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE) within 6 months of hire* Sr. Principal Cyber Software Engineer: 09 Years with Bachelor's in related field of study, 07 Years with Masters, 04 Years with PhD or 04 additional years in lieu of a degree.* Active DoD Secret clearance - a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years.* US Citizenship with Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP)* 4+ years' experience software development (e.g., C, C++, JavaScript, Typescript, Python, C#)* 2+ years' experience adjudicating/fixing static analysis and linter issues.* DoD 8570 IAT II or Higher (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE) within 6 months of hireThese Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:* Familiar with MITRE Common Weakness Enumeration (CWE) and Common Vulnerability Enumeration (CVE).* Familiar with software quality and security analysis using SAST, DAST, and composition analysis.* Familiar with DoD Instruction 5000.02 (2020), NIST SP 800-218 SSDF, and EO 14028 (2021).* Familiar with Source code management (git, bitbucket, Gitlab).* Familiar with compilers and ILRs.* Current ISC2 CSSLP holder.#Sentinelcyber Salary Range: $101,900 - $169,000 Salary Range 2: $126,400 - $209,500The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
