Senior Website and E-Commerce Developer

Reporting to the Director of Digital Marketing, the Senior Website and E-Commerce Developer is responsible for the continuing enhancement of our corporate website and supporting the technical execution of our strategic web initiatives. Additionally, this role will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing Salesforce B2C Commerce solutions that help our business optimize our Direct-To-Consumer channel and enhance Martin's digital presence. This position will facilitate Agile web development processes and drive continuous improvement with customer-facing digital technologies. Specific Duties & Responsibilities: Collaborating with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, develop and implement, scalable, high-quality solutions on the Salesforce Commerce Cloud Platform Ensuring the website is visually appealing, user-friendly, contemporary, and responsive. Making suggestions for improvement and implementing new features and functionalities to enhance user experience. Optimizing the website for performance, speed, and SEO. Ensuring the website remains compliant with emerging data privacy and other consumer protection legislation and regulations. Troubleshooting and resolving website issues in a timely manner, including fraud detection and remediation efforts. Ensuring website look and feel is consistent with brand guidelines. Staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge. Working closely with IT team to stay up to date on companywide initiatives and ensure the website is seamlessly integrated into the tech stack. Developing, optimizing, and maintaining integrations with third-party systems and APIs, ensuring efficient data flow and system interoperability. Optimizing website performance and ensuring cross-browser compatibility. Troubleshooting and resolving issues in existing web and E-Commerce projects. Participating in code reviews and contributing to the continuous improvement of our development processes. Possessing the ability to implement software projects throughout all stages of the SDLC. Acting as business analyst by working with Marketing team partners to identify and document business requirements. Maintaining technical and support documentation Recommending both Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and custom software solutions to meet business requirements. Ability to facilitate the software selection process for COTS software. Developing and executing unit test plans and software validation test plans to ensure customer-facing systems have the highest integrity of technical delivery. Producing training documentation and conducting end user training for use of E-Commerce software applications. Planning and performing software upgrades. Acting as project manager in the implementation of website and E-Commerce technology projects with the ability to coordinate and lead multifunctional teams. Contributing to strategic software design and functionality. Position Requirements: Working knowledge of Salesforce development, including Apex, Lightning Web Components, VisualForce, SOQL, SOSL, Flows and APIs. Proven experience as a corporate Website Developer, with a strong portfolio of previous work. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant web development languages. Experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Joomla, Drupal). Extensive knowledge of web design principles, including expert-level UI/UX design. Savvy with SEO best practices and website analytics tools. Expert-level understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles. Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations; proficient in JSON and/or XML. Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies. Understanding of B2B personas, business processes, process flows, cart to order flow, checkout flow, and customer experience to effectively develop solutions aligned with business objectives. Database software development proficiency using T-SQL. Demonstrable proficiency in supporting the day-to-day operation of the business. Requires excellent problem-solving skills. Requires excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate at all levels within the organization. Must be able to manage website and E-Commerce related projects including stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering, and technical execution and delivery. Able to multitask and organize time to work on multiple projects in parallel. Ability to self-manage time and activities in a matrix management environment between IT and Marketing.
